1.  I started on one format but it didn't work so I changed it and this one seems to be working. If you are putting up a totally different Internet site it is difficult to find an adequate format. Many things are moved or eliminated because of the file size involved. Even though many people have high speed internet we still have to think about those people with dial up.

2.  The current format is broken down into chapters or pages. There are seven.

3.  Continuity is difficult when you try to include different (types) of pages. The continuity of a novel does not work because some chapters/pages will have only text with links to semi static pages and some will not.

4.  I did find a way to include Eric Jan Hanussen into the performance but will have to make a new page. The text continuity was the most difficult because it has to fit somewhere in the performance.

5.  I have completed three on my check list.

6.  I realize that to tweak this performance it will take an additional three months. However, I will have the Environmental Theater and Stage performances by my previous deadline of the end of March.

1.  The performance is coming together. It appears now that it is a battle between the Super Organisms and the Individual Species. I think I have said before that great art makes itself. The artist pursues it and , suddenly, just one day he catches it. I think I have caught it now (the piece as a whole). I caught the 3-D phenomenon earlier but it hasn't become what the work of art that I expect it to be. The 3-D in Captain3's intro video with the red/blue glasses was totally unexpected and I have to pursue (question) it further.

2.  I have posted (but not linked to them) the seven chapters as they are coming along. The temporary index is now (as Feb 25) the new Index index.html

3.  I noticed that the self starting video of Captain3 introducing the performance looks 3-D when you wear the red/blue glasses. I cannot figure out why but have analyzed it somewhat. There are three distinct planes. The background, the middle ground which is Captain3 and the foreground that is Captain3 arms and hands from the elbow forward. The foreground may be a little out of focus and has the most movement. The middle ground is sharp and has some but little movement. The background, although it is in focus, appears to have some resolution loss. But that does not explain why it is 3-D with the glasses but not without them. It appears (at this point) that the motion is important and the three planes are important but the glasses slow down our conceptualizing of the entire image to the point that we see the three parts separately. Some color and/or contrast may be involved. The yellow Imperial Russian flag may play a part. I do notice that when viewing things with 3-D glasses that my mind becomes tired quickly. I think (at the moment) that the slowing down of the images being processed is the major reason for the 3-D effect. It is much like marijuana slows the mind to where it sees a lot of broken/separate images that would normally be put together. Here is a still picture from the film. 4.  The singer that I had in mind for the performance has too much to do to participate in the performance. I could have recruited another singer but it would have been a lot of work. This gave me an opportunity to change the performance. I changed the action part to non stage performance (Environmental Theater). I used Dr. Jack the Entomologist to release ants to occupy the super organisms niche. Therefore, Man could not occupy it and he would remain an individual species instead of a species of Governedmen.

5.  I concluded that I could have Izan Knarf the Nazi Clown from hell do the séance trick with the dragon silk for the Eric Jan Hanussen part. Since this will be on video only it will be much easier to do.

6.  I completed six of my ten goals on my check list. Number 5 I have been unable to do because of the weather.

7.  I have the MySpace page made and checked to see how many Communist, Soviet, Socialist people were interested but did not invite any to the page because I want it farther along. It is located at http://www.myspace.com/retropunkx 

8.  Of the ten goals on the "to do" list, the filming of the Captain3 intro was the most difficult.

9.  There are around 100 printed out pages of Retro Punk X material that I have posted on the Internet since November. This has become the most complex Performance Art Piece that I am aware of.

10. I have had a hand written paper pinned to my wall for the last five years. It is titled "In Progress Performances - Spring 2002".  There are seven on it and all are marked off as finished except the last two. They are (#6. Ghost Show/Séance and #7. Stubblefield/Marconi and the invention of the radio). Retro Punk X takes care of them. When finished I can rest.

1.  I have added a page or Chapter 8 to the performance. Since the performance created itself as time progressed I had to find the theme. I really did not create it either in the end or beginning. So Chapter 8 ties in a theme.

2.  Chapter 8 is "The Superman". It is Dr. Jack spreading the Super Organisms (the video part). It emphasizes Nietzche's, Thus Spoke Zarathustra. In it I include my own translations of the three metamorphoses of the spirit and the the last words of Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It does not bother me to offer my own translation because I have a complete understanding of what Nietzche is saying. From my understanding came my statement, "The first law of evolution defines good and evil. He that survives the night is good and he that does not is evil."  At this point I do not plan to put that statement in the performance but it is indicated throughout. It is a statement that Nietzche should have, and could have written but he did not. I did.

3.  Here is currently the last words of the performance, "I leave you with these last words of Nietzsche's Zarathrustra: ' The Lion slayed the Dragon of 'Thou  Shalts' and the children are coming. The hour of the superman has come. It is the morning, the day is breaking: rise now, rise up. Thus spoke Zarathustra as he left the darkness of the cave and entered the morning sunlight.'"

4.  The inclusion of Nietzche in the performance was in part due to the fact that search engine data on my site indicate that philosophers are frequently Googled. It is like when other interest wanes people will still be hitting the site for its philosophical content.

5.  I have completed 7 of my ten goals on the check list.

6.  The Chapter format becomes an outline. (Again a case where all the conventional rules of writing are broken when creating what I may call 'self creating art')  The Chapters are good and I have something substantial to work around. There are many areas and/or Chapters that I still have to deal with in a much greater sense. The 3-D is one but it can wait since I have a basic 3-D site up. However, it does have a lot of potential for reader/viewers based on my search engine research.  Dr. Jack came in late (like a week or so ago) and he has a lot of potential that I still have to make a lot of decisions as to whether or not add this and that, or not add it.

7.  The Marxist Rally was created for basically two reasons. One was for shock value and the other was to represent the flow of civilization. For more information on this section of Retro Punk X, I refer you to the Communist Cafe Performance Art Piece http://www.jacksartcircus.com/cafe/index.html  It now (and actually always did, even though I never stated it) represents the evolution of civilization. In the context of Retro Punk X it is now the enemy because it is the Super Organism called Governed Men. In fact we all know that Marxism does consider the individual as his own government but we also know that he is not working for himself but for the Super Organism (called community service). So as an individual creative Man species he is still destroyed by Marxism. Marxism then becomes the enemy of Dr. Jack the Entomologist, The Retro Punk X Preacher, and Zarathustra.

8.  Capitalism, or America is really not considered (symbolically or otherwise) because it isn't necessary. I am looking at world trends and American Capitalism is pretty obvious. I do  not have to do any work to make it the bad guy in the Ǽther.

9.  I notice (again the performance created itself - I did not do it) that Captain3 is neutral and is only taking us on a trip through the Ǽther world.

10. I notice (again, again the performance created itself) that the contemporary religious references symbolically and realistically represent the Super Organism's weakness to where he does not want to think, create, work for himself but wants someone to guide him.

1.  I realized that I had a "country" reference but not to any direct country in the Retro Punk X preachers song. And since I don't have references to America or Capitalism, I changed it to "colony"

2.  I posted the new Index page with the links to the various chapters of the performance. It is now http://www.retropunkx.com/index.html  and the earlier index is http://www.retropunkx.com/indexold.html  I am aware that the back links will now go to the new/final index even though some of the material on the old one is no longer included. I can fix that later.

3.  I need to work on making some of the video for the performance.
