1.  I decided to hand out the Evolution Bible during the "Dr. Jack Entomologist" performance at the Sideshow the middle of September. I had worked on it much earlier but never got a prototype that I was happy with. So during the last three or four days I created the prototype and made three copies. The content was not changed and is available at http://www.evolutionbible.com/   I did redesign the cover with the original "X" that the Retro Punk X idea that I had long ago and probably wrote about in previous "Thought Processes".  I added a front page and a back page but they were not part of the Evolution Bible. It is 3 and one half by 4 and one fourth inches. It is 36 pages long plus four end pieces.

2.  One of my former students asked me what compels me to do Performance Art. My reply, "Performance Art is very childlike. Children do not know that they are not going to be presidents or princesses. They do not know that they are going to live mundane lives that are controlled by the whim of the wealthy. As children we create the world we want. I have a very childlike mind. I create. Performance Art allows for the most possibilities. However, drawing and painting also allows us to be childlike and create."

1.  I have been making Evolution Bibles. It takes me about 4 hours to make ten. I still have 20 to go. 

2.  I have to work on the performances that are scheduled for the middle of September but I really want to work on the Hegel reference and the Shape of time.

3.  The "Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, and Retro Punk X".  It is going to be easy to tie them all together because Retro Punk X is the culmination of all previous philosophers as well as the addition of the "Evolution Bible" that is generally ignored by historic Philosophers. Nietzsche was an exception. He considered Zarathustra the next evolved man and did not think as the Nazis thought, that Zarathustra was the current man. Zarathustra was a combination of physical perfection and spiritual perfection. Somehow the Nazis thought he was just the physical perfection of the Aryan that was already in Germany. Like a group of people. But Zarathustra was an individual. Hegel mentioned in his "Histories" the Zoroaster or Zoroastrianism. It worshiped the abstract good and the "Evolution Bible" says very clearly that man is good and that it is the civilized environment that is evil. Zorastrianism says the light (that is worshiped) is the god. The Persians were the home of Zorastrianism and they would not worship an Idol. As we all know the Muslims today get all fired up when Mohammed is depicted as an image or idol.  By the way, you cannot convert to Zorastriansim. You can only be born a Zoroaster. When you look at Nietzsche's Zarathustra you realize you can only be born a "Superman".  I know that philosophers are always walking on a slippery hill. Retro Punk X is trying to avoid that hill. Most the philosophers are concerned with "God", whoever he may be. Retro Punk X is claiming that he is an abstract math type formula that exists in the AEther. They are also trying to describe evil. But Evolution can define good and ignore the evil because it is obviously contemporary civilzation. I am also trying to avoid the slippery hill by using the "Plato's Cave in Color" and the (in progress) "Shape of Time". You also have to realize that I, unlike a philosopher, am an artist. I do not have to be right. I just have to create a new world for you. That I can do.

4.  The shape of time is just eating me to work on but I have to do the task at hand first. So I wake up in the middle of the night and make notes and sketches. When I first get up in the morning I sometimes get visions of how it works. I make notes and sketches. Here is one of my sketches.

3 August 2007

1.  I wrote the scripts for the performances that I am going to do the middle of September. So with that done, I have about a month to work on other things. They are posted on http://www.retropunkx.com/page4retropunkx.htm  and http://www.retropunkx.com/page5retropunkx.htm 

2.  Now I am working on a video of the "Shape of Time".  Since time is involved and three dimensional space is involved it seems like the best tool.  I could explain it with a two dimensional drawing and may add them in case people do not understand the video.

3.  I did a lot of research on Hegel, Zoroaster, Marx and Nietzsche and there is a lot of information. My job is essentially to relate them all without contradicting the general concept of their writings and existence.

8 September 2007

1.  The last month has gone into organizing the performance that will occur September 15. 

2.  Me, Amanda, Louie, Katie and Tracy organized and performed the Labor Day Ant Releases.

3.  We made a promotion, with the help of Rob Avery, for the SIDESHOW II. It has been up for a couple days on YouTube and has 80 hits. It is also posted on the two MySpace sites. 

4.  I created a MySpace site for participant interactivity in the Ant Releases.
