CAPTAIN3 TELLS YOU ABOUT FAITH BASED RELIGION'S IN THE RETRO PUNK X ǼTHERWith a faith based religion anyone can claim they are the one and only true God. All they have to do after that is get a following. Or they can claim they are a true disciple of God. Jim Jones is an example of the latter. They are usually called cults but all religions are cults with the properties of cults. It is that they larger they are the cult designation becomes a specific name. Jim Jones religion was Christian and he did not claim to be God. He claimed only to be a disciple and talked nearly 1000 people into committing suicide in Jonestown Guyana in the 1970's. So his was not really a true separate religion. It was no different (except in size of church followers) than Baptist or Pentecostals. He was only interpreting the bible differently than other similar religions. Even within the Faith Based churches there are disagreements and the congregations separate and build separate churches even though they are (in their eyes) the same religion. This is extremely common in the world religions of this millennium. Many of these faith based religions have "doctrine" for a second coming. This sets them up for new "Gods" to appear. But ever since the emergence of monotheism around one thousand B.C. there is typically only one "God". So when a new God appears then he is usually the results of the "Second Coming" of one mentioned in the former religions documents called doctrine. Dan Ashwander fits this "second coming" guy. He is just a little fat man in Alabama that says he has raised the dead and can heal by you listening to his tape recorded voice. Essentially contemporary monotheistic religion sets the populace up for any little fat man from Alabama to become a God. Actually the "one and only true god". Since Dan is a living God you can communicate directly with him. You can write him letters and he can reply. Dan also has a bible that is a collection of his letters. He has encountered space beings. If you are prone to faith based religions, the Church of Dan Ashwander is an excellent choice. There are also Mystics that have "popped up" through the ten thousand years of Civilization. Civilization actually sets us up for the acceptance of Mystics. This is because THE, and I do mean THE in capital letters, major thing that holds the masses together is fear of the unknown. Political leaders have probably always used it but in the early sixteenth century Machiavelli wrote "The Prince". "The Prince" has been the major influence of Political leaders ever since then. Major Mystics occur during times of Civilization in crisis. Civilization made a quantum jump at the end of the nineteenth century. This could also be stated that it was a quantum fall and not a jump at all. But the crisis is without question. At this time Séances Mystics and Mediums appeared throughout the world. One that rose above the parlor room was Rasputin. He arose during the crisis of WWI. He now lives in the Ǽther (ether) world and will tell your fortune with cards if you click on the link at the right. Between the wars Magicians Joseph Dunninger of America was credited with Mystic powers. I think these came from the devil instead of the God. But you have to realize that in contemporary Christian religions the Devil is a God. He just lost to the other one and was cast into Hell which it also is just another Heaven but only for people that worship the Devil. This fact is usually missed by congregations because the preachers have to use that fear factor and create an enemy for their followers. During and after WWII Dunninger published a lot of material that discredited mystics. WWII was also a major crisis for Civilization. It was actually Civilization coming to fruition. All that it ever stood for and was created for could now be accomplished. We are conditioned to believe that WWII was a bad thing. But it was not bad for Civilization. All the theories of Civilization could now be played out. And they were. This included the conditioning of the masses and the elimination of the so called "enemy". Flight, Radio, electronics, mechanics all came to a head in WWII. There was also one Mystic that stood out. Since Germany lost the war he is somewhat swept under the rug. But a real understanding of the History of Civilization has to accept that the "loser" or the "enemy" had valid reasons for what they were doing. I am not saying they were "just" reasons but in the mind of the "losers" they were valid and they were based on Civilizations ten thousand year run. No one just got a wild hair up their butt and said lets do this. In contrast we have the formal religions, Including and perhaps best exemplified by, The Church of Dan Ashwander. When we look at them today and Dan is still alive we think this is wild stuff. But we look at the contemporary Christian religions through the eyes of Civilization at the time of Christ and say this is cool. But in fact the contemporizes of Christ saw him as just as bazaar as Dan and under careful comparison he was more bazaar than Dan. Back to World War Two's most significant mystic. He appeared to function much like his contemporary Dunninger but he was credited with powers of prophesy. Something that was never attributed to Dunninger. These powers were attributed to Rasputin of thirty years earlier and this is perhaps why he stands out above and beyond Dunninger. World War Two's most significant mystic was Eric Jan Hanussen. He, like Dunninger, was a stage show mystic prior to the start of WWII. According to well documented text Hanussen correctly predicted the burning of the Reichstag and Hitler's rise to power. He was assassinated in by the SS that was probably ordered by Joseph Goebbels. He also predicted his own death. Izan Knarf a contemporary of Jan Hanussen is in hell (as all magicians are - black arts, you know). I could never figure out if Izan Knarf was not Jan Hanussen since their lives are so parallel. Both were killed by Nazi's at about the same time. When Izan came back to the living and started his magic shows. Cincinnati around the year 2000 he was disguised as being of African decent. He said it was for the irony of being a Black Nazi. He said there were only two movies in his hell and they were "Little Black Sambo" and "Birth of a Nation". Of course Magicians are deceivers so you never really know what is true about what they tell you. He later in his act just used a mask instead of clown makeup. He said it was because playing in the dance club, bar scene in the Mid-west did not allow enough time to put on the Clown make-up required. There are also parallels with Chung Ling Soo that was also killed by the bullet catch. Chung Ling Soo was really William Ellsworth Robinson and he pretended he was Chinese. The black Wizard of the West was killed in 1922 by the bullet catch. Part of Izan's punishment is that he has to come back to the world of the living and give magic shows. I caught one of Izan's shows in Dayton Ohio in early 2006. His bullet catch is unique in two ways. The stage was in the round with audience surrounding him and he actually had two bullets fired in quick succession fired at him. Here is a transcript:
In post WWII Civilizations there are fortune tellers everywhere. Bazooka gum has a cartoon in it where Bazooka Joe tells your fortune. Double Bubble also has a cartoon in it where PUD tells your fortune. As a parody there is "BlooMeUp Moe" to tell your fortune in what is according to Government conditioning a "Post Terrorist World". Among all these future predictors, and there were many, many more, I found an Entomologist named Dr. Jack. He also is a future predictor but uses the push/pull of the Ǽther (ether) world as a predictor. This is much the same way that Chuck can let us explore the Ǽther (ether).
