RETRO PUNK X

A PERFORMANCE ART PIECE

Major Characters

1. CAPTAIN3 is the narrator of the performance. He is (as well as others in the performance) from early in the first half of the 20th century. He was born at about the time that Marconi invented the radio and has used it to explore the Ǽther. In the past 100 years Captain3 has also built time machines that can go forward and backward in the Ǽther world.

2. DR. JACK THE ENTOMOLOGIST has been studying insects and there colonizing tendencies. He has concluded that they are what is currently called Super Organisms. He noticed the similarities between these Super Organisms and Governed Men. And concluded they are the same type of species and are trying to occupy the same niche. Since the Ǽther (ether) world forbids that two species occupy the same niche he is using the most successful Super Organisms, the ants, to fight the onslaught of the Governed Men. He is doing this because he sees that the individual species called Man is threatened by the Governed Men. Dr. Jack is Blind and Deaf. Therefore, he is immune to the Siren and the beauty of the Enticer girls.

3. THE PREACHER is enhancing the instincts of man toward group security by preaching a religion and getting his worshippers to accept the one and only true god which is the flow of Evolution. This flow of Evolution has created the Superman (the individual as a creative person). The Super Organisms are trying to destroy it. The Preacher disguises himself as a hip Retro Punk Ant so he can convince others to join him.

4. KARL MARX comes out of the Ǽther (ether) in various disguises to hold Marx Rallies. He is attempting to get the Governed Men to follow the Evolutionary Course of their destiny. This in essence will save the Super Organism of Governed Men. He is the enemy of Dr. Jack, and the Preacher.

5. IZAN KNARF is called out of the Ǽther (ether) to demonstrate both the need of spiritualism of the Governed Men and how easy it is for Governed Men Leaders to get followers with their magic tricks. Izan was killed during a Bullet Catch trick in Nazi Germany and has been in Hell ever since. Part of his punishment is to come back to the living and do Hell oriented magic shows.

6. CHUCK is the web site that allows readers/viewers/participants of this Environmental Theater/Living Theater/Living Novel/Performance Art Piece to knowingly be a part of the Ǽther (ether) World.

7. THE SUPERMAN is the creative individuals that still remain from the Man Species. They are the participants in this work. They are especially involved in the Environmental Theater parts. They are the artists and creators.

8. BLOOMEUP MOE or the BUBBLE GUM SNIPER is the mystery that appears in the Ǽther. Is she really a Terrorist? Did she only show you the inert grenades in her collection for a reason? Is there a hidden code for Anarchist or Terrorist of whatever persuasion? We do know that with her Parable that she advises us to be good or someone, somewhere, will get us if they so choose.

9. THE SIREN Amanda is the Siren of the Odyssey. Her singing is so good that it will lead those that listen to their doom. She represents the call of the spoken word that is used to lead men to accept poor governments and therefore give up their individuality and creativity. From Homer's Odyssey, "You will come first of all to the Sirens, who are enchanters of all mankind and whoever comes their way; and that man who unsuspecting approaches them, and listens to the Sirens singing, has no prospect of coming home and delighting his wife and little children as they stand about him in greeting, but the Sirens by the melody of their singing enchant him."

10. THE ENTICER GIRLS are in essence the hope of the future of BOTH the Super Organism and the Individual Man. Their age coincides with the reproductive time frame of an evolving species as stated in the Evolution Bible. Their song and beauty are enticing. They are the daughters of the Siren that tried to lure Ulysses with her charm.
